1. What is it like being in the new conference? Does food taste better? Is your girlfriend even hotter?
Men's basketball conference chair has been interesting. As for the games - it is a waiting game.  It is hard to top the Kline Pizza but we will try the Philly Cheese Steak while standing next to Rocky Balboa and the Buffalo Wings from the Anchor Bar I am sure. The girlfriend is already capable of third degree burns so is that as hot as it gets? I did purchase a set of basketball shaped hand mittens in case it it goes above the safe level.
2. What are the primary team goals this year?
Get into the playoffs - the top four go to the NEAC playoffs and from there it is anyone's game on any given day except Sunday because we don't play on Sunday. Seniors deserve a good year and a healthy year - we will try to provide that for them.
	3. How is it possible that Villa Julie's Anthony Fitzgerald made the D3Hoops preseason All-America team, while Adam Turner, DIII News' choice for NEAC Player of the Year, was not even an honorable mention?
Obviously another snub from our friends at DIII Hoops - hard to argue with the stats but they find a way - I guess it means we will just have to do what we have always done to the non-believers - beat them and walk off into the sunset.
4. How fast is Collin Orcutt this year? Will fans be able to see him on the court, or will his speed transcend light?
Collin is so fast that when I called him a few minutes ago to come and pick up his replacement sneakers - I hung up the phone and the sneakers were gone and a note was in there place saying thank you and I will see you in practice tomorrow.  Maybe it is tike to hand out the 3-D glasses from the 60's and 70's - at least that way we can follow the blur across our television sets while watching game tape.
5. Are you at all concerned that a number of the schools in the NEAC (Philadelphia Bible, Baptist Bible) may have Jesus on their side? Have you scouted him?
I am hoping that the first years of our participation in the conference are just like the first years of the gladiator games of ancient Rome - The Lions 100 - The People 0.\ I am also a firm believer that God favors hard work and sportsmanship - both characteristics we share with our opponents - therefore God's only role is to protect all that participate and to give the loser the strength to carry on.
6. What will you miss most about the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference? Do you feel that Culinary Institute of America is the odds on favorite to take it this year?
I will miss having schools such as Pratt scheduling more than one game per evening in two different locations and some teams with girls on the roster to complete their team and distract us
7. Talk about the frosh- who are they, and what roles are they likely to play?
Eber Wright - Palm City Florida (John Carroll HS - starting 2 guard and producing, Noah Weissman - Los Angeles California (Harvard-Westlake HS) - backup point guard to Drew McCormack, Raphael Nulman - Potomac Maryland (Israel Science and Arts Academy) - role player and back up point or 2 guard.
8. What do you expect out of super soph Trevor McGinn?
I  expect him to be super!  He will play an expanded role for us this year as the primary backup to Josef and Adam - I also expect he will set the school record for dunks in a single game. I also expect him to keep his socks pulled up!
9. Is there a better big man in the NEAC than Josef Woldense?
Some will argue that point but I will put all of my eggs in one basket with the big fella from Eritrea! It is his final year and he needs to go out on top.  The all time shot blocker and soon to be member of the 1,000 point club - Joe will look good accepting his awards at the end of the season.
10. What will it take to make the NCAA's, record-wise? The ECAC?
Miracle - maybe the basketball gods will be shining down on us during the tournament and with a NEAC Championship appearance the possibility exists for a bid to either tournament. Too early to tell.
11. Will Bard have cheerleaders this year? If so, what steps are being taken to prevent them from/encourage them to have sex in the bathroom?
I hope we have cheerleaders this year and I hope they are as liberal as ever - that way they will take it upon themselves to do whatever in the bathroom or on the court in the name of Bard.
12. What will satisfy you about this season?
Seeing the senior go out on top at the highest level they are capable of. It has been hard work and a lot of hours building the program - we want them to be proud of what they have done and surely leaving Bard better than they found it would go a long way to many happy memories.
