| Dear Coach Doherty, We at Raptormania are very sorry to hear about your wretched, wretched season. At Bard College, where this kind of losing simply isnot tolerated, we are concerned about your faltering program and we want to help. We see that on the nineteenth of January, you are scheduled to play the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Connecticut is a good program, and you have your work cut out for you. They are no Davidson or Hampton, not that you were able to beat those lesser lights. We have never lost to the University of Connecticut, and would be happy to help you, a down-on-your-luck program, if you could come to Stevenson Gymnasium the 18th of January. It is an easy drive to Storrs. Below are the directions from Bard to Storrs, where you play your Saturday game. Coach Greg Dixon will teach you some basics on how to win games, and hopefully you can take these lessons forward and avoid a losing season. "Sky" Walker Swain will show you how to defy gravity. Justin Goldberg will conduct shooting drills. Ian Schaff will be in charge of the big men, and Jamel Austin will help with passing drills. We'll cover everything, since we've seen your game footage and know how much help you need. We have not made this offer to everyone. But we see just how desperately you need our help, and our generous spirit overcame us. Sincerely, The Bard Raptors |
