| It's Official: Mandlin Named Player of the Year Annandale-on-Hudson, NY (May 1) In a move which only surprised the least knowledgeable basketball fans, the multicampus college publication The Outside World has named Michael Mandlin the Division III Player of the Year for 2000-2001. Mandlin, who received every first place vote among the writers and editors of The Outside World, easily outpaced Horace Jenkins of William Paterson, the D3Hoops Player of the Year. He finished third in the voting, behind Mandlin and teammate Frantz Andersen. Mandlin has not ruled out leaving for the NBA if he is drafted, but sources close to Mandlin say that he has not yet hired an agent, and instead is focusing on procuring mushrooms from a local dealer. Mandlin apparently loves vegetables. |
