A Rivier of Tears as Bard Topples Raiders
December 9, 2007
Trevor McGinn's jumper with ten seconds left from a no-look Justin White pass helped Bard to crush Rivier, 71-70 to capture the Bard Raptors Invitational.
The victory is arguably the biggest in team history. Rivier won 20 games last season and advanced to the NCAA tournament. The Raiders were 4-2 in 07-08, and undefeated in conference play.
But Bard's unstoppable perimeter shooting (53% from beyond the arc) and balanced scoring attack (Demitrius Washington, Raymond Arocho, Justin White and Christian Marghella in double figures) were too much for the Raiders.
